Ford didn’t make any big changes to this year’s F-150, but that’s because the automaker gave its bestselling truck a mid-cycle makeover just last year! The F-150’s refresh made the hands-free BlueCruise driving system more widely available (optional for the mid-level XLT and standard on the Lariat and up). Ford also did away with the old base V6 engine, replacing it with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, which is both thriftier and more powerful by comparison. The SYNC 4 infotainment system, along with a 12-inch central touchscreen, also became standard equipment for every F-150.

• Pro Access Tailgate: Not only does this tailgate fold down, but it also swings out, stopping at three set positions. The first position allows you to access cargo with a trailer attached, and two wider positions allow you to remove larger items from the bed.
• Tailgate Work Surface: Need a flat workstation at a remote work site? Simply fold down your tailgate to access built-in rulers, a tablet holder, cupholder, and other small-item storage slots! Clamp pockets and a grained texture help keep blueprints from flapping in the wind. You can even use the Tailgate Work Surface as a bed extender, thanks to its built-in tie-downs.

For a great deal on a cushy cabin, you’ll love the F-150 Lariat. Although the Lariat offers its own upscale flourishes, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and ActiveX upholstery, it comes at a significantly lower price than higher trim models.
