As usual, Ford’s best selling light-duty truck is very, very versatile. Not only can shoppers choose from three cabin options (regular, extended SuperCab, and SuperCrew), but, depending on trim model and cabin, they can also choose from three bed sizes (5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, and 8 feet). Then there are six main trim models: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.
Like you might expect, each F-150 trim model adds a little more convenience and comfort to the previous one. Standard features include an 8-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and forward collision mitigation.
The mid grade XLT adds more safety, with blind-spot monitoring and lane keeping assist. And it’s also more hospitable than the base model, with carpeted seating, power door locks and windows, and a power-locking tailgate.
From the Lariat up, you’ll enjoy increasing luxury, with features that include leather seating, LED bed lighting, and a bigger, 12-inch central touchscreen. These trucks also add convenience, with power-adjustable pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote start.
Drivers who want a greater off-road experience can check out the Tremor package, which adds rugged gear like standard four-wheel drive, off-road-tuned suspension, and a locking rear differential. Those who want more of a high-powered adventure can turn to the Raptor and Raptor R models.
