The all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator offers first-class transport for the whole family.
What is the Lincoln Aviator? When is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator release?
The all-new Aviator is a luxury crossover designed to transport up to seven passengers in rich comfort and style. A new Lincoln Aviator hasn’t graced the highways since the 2005 model year. Since then, the Aviator was branded the MKX, which Lincoln produced for over a decade.
But now the Aviator is back, and it’s better than ever before. Based on the redesigned 2020 Ford Explorer, this new luxury crossover won’t feel familiar to anyone who remembers the nameplate from the early 2000s. And though it may have Explorer underpinnings, it feels more like the Navigator’s younger sibling with its classy design, powerful performance, and exclusive tech features.
What’s new for the 2020 Lincoln Aviator?
The Aviator has been completely redesigned for the 2020 model year. It kicks off its second generation in style with an upscale new design, inside and out. The new Aviator is also rolling out a generous supply of brand new tech features, including a head-up display and seats with massage settings. You can also grab a new plug-in hybrid powertrain for your Aviator that’s even more powerful than the base engine.
Why choose the 2020 Lincoln Aviator?
There’s a lot to love about how this all-new luxury crossover looks, feels, and drives. A brand new look sets it apart from past models. The Aviator’s distinctive new design features a sloping roofline and streamlined, sculpted lines. Inside, the Aviator looks just as stylish, with handsome details like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a wealth of high-end cabin materials.
There are five Aviator trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Black Label, Grand Touring, and Grand Touring Black Label. The Standard model is very handsomely equipped with luxury features, including LED headlights and taillights and heated, 12-way power-adjustable front seats. On the tech front, the standard lineup includes a huge 10.1-inch infotainment screen, the latest version of the Sync 3 infotainment system, a Wi-Fi connection, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone capabilities.
As for how it drives, the 2020 Aviator’s exciting new powertrain lineup will have you flying into traffic. The powerful base powertrain is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The top-trim Grand Touring and Grand Touring Black Label models feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain that’s even more powerful. Based on the same V6 in the other models, the hybrid powertrain turns up the heat with 494 horses and 630 pound-feet of torque.
How much is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator?
You can drive home the all-new 2020 Aviator starting at $51,000. That’s a steal, considering everything this seven-seat luxury crossover has to offer.
Does the Lincoln Aviator need premium gas?
It’s not required. The Aviator will run on regular gas, with an octane rating as low as 87. However, for premium performance, Lincoln recommends that you fill your tank with 91-octane gas or higher.
