Deciding between the 2020 Lincoln Aviator and INFINITI QX60 can be quite the conundrum. Both the all-new Aviator and the established QX60 set you up with sporty style and three rows of luxurious comfort. At Lunghamer Auto Group, we’re here to help you figure out the pros and cons of each; so when you make a final decision, you’ll know that you’re making the right one.
Luxurious Comfort: It’s a Tie!
When it comes to style and interior comfort, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator and the INFINITI QX60 have plenty of things in common. Both three-row luxury crossovers supply handsome, cushy, and roomy seating for up to seven passengers.
Step inside the all-new Aviator for upscale design and upscale options, like leather upholstery and power tip-and-slide second-row captain’s chairs. You’ll also love the comfy ride quality and pin-drop-quiet cabin - two features that luxury shoppers can’t live without.
The 2020 QX60 is a roomy, upscale people-hauler as well. And it’s also a smooth operator. Inside this INFINITI crossover, you’ll enjoy quiet cruising — even when you’re rushing down a windy freeway. The QX60 is home to an equal amount of luxury features, too, including classy leather upholstery and trip-zone automatic climate control.
Fully Loaded Cabin: 2020 Lincoln Aviator
Technology is a big part of the luxury driving experience. And we think the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator does the best job of rolling out all the latest gadgets. Sync 3 is standard equipment, and its infotainment touchscreen is home to big buttons and readable text, and therefore very easy to use. The Aviator’s driving aids - including lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control - also provide top-notch performance. You can count on this technology to alert you to danger without overdoing it.
In comparison, the INFINITI QX60 infotainment setup can seem somewhat out of touch. For example, the touchscreen graphics aren’t as sharp or modern as that of competitors. However, the infotainment system works well overall. And, unlike with the Aviator, the QX60 safety aids aren’t standard equipment. If you want features like blind-spot monitoring or lane departure warning, you must pay extra.
Premium Power: 2020 Lincoln Aviator
When you’re shopping for a luxury crossover, it’s a given that you’re after a smooth, powerful performance. In this department, the Aviator leaves the INFINITI QX60 behind. The first three Aviator trim models - Standard, Reserve, and Black Label - come standard with an impressive turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, which kicks up major dust with 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Grand Touring and Grand Touring Black Label take this engine and pair it with an electric motor, creating a hybrid powertrain that’s even quicker, supplying a total of 494 horses and 630 pound-feet of torque.
The 2020 INFINITI QX60 is sporty, just not as sporty as the Aviator. Each QX60 trim model features the same powertrain. A 3.5-liter V6 engine provides 295 horses and 270 pound-feet of torque. It might not be as quick as the Aviator, but this V6 will get you around in smooth comfort. Like the Aviator, the QX60 offers optional all-wheel drive, traction-boosting performance technology that comes in handy during Michigan winters.
Efficiency: 2020 Lincoln Aviator
Once upon a time, more power meant reduced fuel economy. But, thanks to modern innovations, the all-new Aviator is both the more powerful and more fuel-efficient luxury crossover. With its hybrid powertrain, the Aviator earns up to 56 MPGe. With its standard V6 powertrain, the Aviator still does a good job of combining premium power with fuel economy, earning up to 21 mpg combined. That’s close to the INFINITI QX60’s best EPA ratings, which come in at 22 mpg combined.
The 2020 INFINITI QX60 has much to recommend it, but the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator is our absolute favorite. Lincoln’s three-row luxury crossover is the real deal, taking luxury cruising to the next level with its stylish cabin, sleek infotainment interface, and premium hybrid performance.
