Choosing between the 2023 Ford Mach-E and 2024 Honda Prologue won’t be easy. Both of these ultra-modern crossover EVs treat you to a premium, gas-free experience. But which will give you the most luxury at a great price? Our comparison guide takes a look.
Price: It’s (Likely) a Tie!
Ford has announced its MSRP range for the brand new Mustang Mach-E, which starts at $46,895 for a Select trim model with rear-wheel drive and the standard-range battery. Just keep in mind that adding more features (such as the extended-range battery) or moving up the trim levels can increase the price.
On the flip side, Honda has yet to release many details about the 2024 Honda Prologue, including an MSRP. However, we expect Honda’s upcoming crossover EV to start around $45,000.
Interior Luxury & Style: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
Because both of these models are in similar price brackets, we expect both to feature very luxurious cabins. But as of this writing, we know a lot more about the Mustang Mach-E than the Prologue. For example, all but the base model come with a gorgeous panoramic glass roof. Vegan leather is standard, and upscale offerings include heated front seats, driver’s seat memory settings, and multi-color ambient lighting.
Inside the Honda Prologue, you’ll likely find a similarly luxurious setup, something we can surmise from its (potential) starting price. We don’t know the details of the standard Prologue lineup, but we can tell from promo photos that it will feature sleek, modern style and a 11.3-inch touchscreen interface atop the dash.
Premium Performance: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
Once again, the Mustang Mach-E takes the lead because we know more about it. This premium crossover EV is a smooth blend of speed and impressive battery range. The California Route 1 trim model can travel the furthest, giving you 312 miles between charges. And the GT Performance Edition shoots from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, making it the fastest option.
Meanwhile, we don’t really know what to expect from the 2024 Honda Prologue’s performance. We do know that it will feature the Ultium battery pack, which Honda developed in conjunction with GM. We guess that it will deliver between 250 and 320 miles per charge, but we’re still waiting to hear the official EPA figure.
Availability: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
You can order the 2023 Mustang Mach-E today! However, the world is going to have to wait a little longer for the 2024 Honda Prologue, which probably won’t be available for pre-order until late 2023.
Choose Your Crossover EV
From what we know about these upscale EVs, the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the right choice. Not only is it speedy, stylish, and luxurious, but it’s also available much sooner than later! Prices listed are as of this writing and subject to change.
