For 2025, the Explorer gets its long-awaited mid-cycle refresh. What does that mean for you? A lot! Outside, Ford’s three-row crossover sports a whole new look, with updated front and rear fascia, lighting elements, and grille. Inside, you’ll find upgraded cabin materials, with new soft-touch surfaces on the door panels and center console.

And not only does the new Explorer finally feature wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, but it’s also the first model in the Ford lineup to introduce the new Ford Digital Experience infotainment technology! When you order your new Explorer, you’ll be able to select newly available options, including the hands-free BlueCruise driving system.

For 2025, the Explorer offers a revised list of trim models: the entry-level Active, stylish ST-Line, performance-based ST, and premium Platinum. The Active starts with an impressive list of comfort and convenience features, and each model adds to the list with additional creature comforts and tech upgrades!

The entry-level Active helps you save on the starting costs of a powerful three-row SUV. Plus, it comes standard with three rows of comfy seating, along with a host of helpful tech features. Inside, you’ll find wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, along with a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. This Explorer also includes the new Ford Digital Experience and Google Built-In navigation with integrated voice commands! Other conveniences include a power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, and the Co-Pilot 360 suite of safety aids.

This trim model adds to the base lineup with sporty exterior styling, including a black grille and black trim. The ST-Line and up also add Ford’s semiautonomous BlueCruise technology. This system is now subscription-based, but your purchase includes a 90-day trial. The stylish Explorer St-Line also adds to the list of standard safety aids with an adaptive cruise control system that includes Stop-and-Go technology and speed sign recognition!

The Explorer’s extra-sporty trim model not only delivers extra power with its turbocharged V6, but it’s also equipped with extra comfort features. No matter the weather, its heated and ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel will keep you comfy. For a little R&R on your commute, the front seats also include Ford’s Active Motion massage technology!

The top-trim Platinum adds to the aforementioned features for maximum interior comfort. For example, the cabin treats you to leather seating and heated second-row captain’s chairs. This Explorer is also an incredibly stylish option, featuring a twin-panel moonroof and 12-speaker premium B&O sound system. Although the Platinum doesn’t come standard with the ST’s V6, this 400-horsepower engine is optional!
